Resource Manager – In House – Beijing or Wuxi Career

Pactera EDGE, a leading company in the translation and localization industry is looking for a full time RESOURCE MANAGER.

Responsibility:

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

• Manage relationship with account-teams (FLs and agencies)
• Onboard new translators into the different programs: welcome email, training, accounts
• Share new project info and/or account volume patterns for their language as reference
• Manage and update resource schedule with availability changes (holidays, leaves, drops, etc.)
• Coordinate and book pool of translators according to the heads-up or handoffs from the Project Management team and reconfirm availability when needed
• Introduce new translators progressively, identifying suitable projects
• Support PMs in daily re-assigning HOs by exception
• Working with the VM/PM teams and the RC team to design and implement improvements to increase resource numbers and engagement.

 

PERFORMANCE TRACKING

• Establish meetings with underperformers to set and review improvement plans, together with LQM
• Re-define core/backup teams based on availability and performance
• Communicate with resources on any issues impacting their engagement in the account
• Liaise with VM on resource escalations and need for more resources

 

RC TEAM MANAGEMENT

• Managing the team in full alignment with VM team and Managers to ensure good performance and adherence to pre-defined KPIs
• Keep the team stable and working efficiently
• Design and implement the strategy for RC team

Qualification and Requirements:

• University Degree, preferably Translation & Interpreting or equivalent
• 2-3 years experience on similar or related position within the localization industry, preferably in Project Management.
• Previous experience in people management, global exposure, and interaction with crowds.
• Fluent English with very good communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of localization process.
• Very strong negotiation skills.
• Very organized and able to work under pressure.
• Proactive, quick and efficient.
